We provide opportunities in a safe and welcoming environment for children ages 2 ½ to 5 to develop, play, explore, learn and share using principles of the Reggio Emilia approach to the education of children in a bilingual and multicultural environment.
Marta and Anna are sisters originally from Venezuela, a South American country, where we were raised. We were born into a multicultural family; mom from Panama and dad from the Czech Republic. Therefore, a culturally diverse and rich environment has always been something completely natural to us.
This multiculturalism due to and encouraged by our parents, helped us develop values such as respect, solidarity, teamwork, and inclusion.
We have lived and traveled to many countries around the world, so bringing an international touch into education is important to us.
Being fluent in both Spanish and English, we want to provide the opportunity for children to learn a second language. We want to offer a place where inclusion and diversity are valued and respect is prioritized.
Golden Aspen Bilingual ELC is are bilingual center - English/Spanish- that follows a play-based education philosophy and much of our program is based on the Reggio Emilia approach to Early Childhood Education.
Our classrooms are a mixed-age classroom with children ranging 2,½ to 5 years old. We value quality time with each child and believe that it's important to balance socialization and time to play by themselves with group and individual attention. We know that parents want the very best for their children and we have been aware how hard it can be to satisfy this need for parents, between the demands of their work and family life.
We are here to offer parents peace of mind by giving their children safe, nurturing care and providing age appropriate learning activities by using the Colorado Department of Education’s Early Learning and Development Guidelines as well as the children’s individual needs and interests.

Marta worked for many years as a teacher and as a Licensed Director. With more than a decade of experience in Early Childhood Education, she is versed in various curricula and educational philosophies from both Public and private schools.
As a parent of two girls, Marta has always gravitated toward building strong relationships with the parents of children in her care. Marta enjoys the opportunity of working with those from diverse ethnic and geographic backgrounds. She is fluent in both Spanish and English.
Marta believes that it is only through building trust and strong communications between home and school that we can support the needs of the child, allowing him or her to flourish in this world.
She holds a Bachelor's degree in Mass Communication and a diploma in Integrated Marketing and Communication.
Anna is a witness to the impact and the improvements children can have through motivation and constant work in a nurturing, stimulating, caring, and protective environment. In the last five years, she has worked in the educational field in an American school on the European island of Malta, with preschoolers and children with special needs.
As a mother of two, Anna knows how important it is for parents to be sure their children attend a welcoming school where every child can experience and explore learning at his/her own pace; and how important it is for children to love the school where they go every day. Anna and her family have lived in Malta for the past 7 years and now call Colorado home.
Anna has worked for more than 25 years developing and settling legal and administrative structures for businesses and companies, as well as managing the day-to-day operations in companies of different sectors such as banking and finances, the food industry, franchises, and metallurgy.

"Anna and Marta are wonderful people and great teachers. So glad to have a new preschool in Heatherwood-Gunbarrel! "
Rev Bruce H Swinehart, St Mary Magdalene Episcopal Church
"Yo conocí a Anna en septiembre del 2017. Mi familia y yo acabábamos de llegar de España y el nivel de inglés de mis hijos era muy bajo. Me hablaron de Anna como de alguien muy competente y empezó a trabajar con mis hijos en mi casa después del colegio. Lo que Anna consiguió con mis hijos no creo que nosotros hubiéramos podido. Es paciente, dedicada, dulce y seria a la vez, ganándose el respeto de mis hijos. Fue una pena su marcha."
Rafael Montane, Malta 2021.
"Marta is a natural leader. Her instincts are right on when it comes to leadership and interpersonal skills. She is able to not only manage her staff, but lead and engage them in their work. She is gracious and willing to share her leadership with parents, as well.
Marta’s grasp and understanding of the early childhood field is truly outstanding. Her demeanor and respect when dealing with challenging children is a true strength for her."
Lisa Armao, Executive Director of Early Childhood Service Corps
"Marta has strong leadership and communication skills. She is intentional about building relationships with the people on her team as well as the children in her classroom and their families. She is warm and welcoming, and during our time working together I saw her connect with families in a way that made them feel comfortable to share their lives with her. In the field of Early Childhood Education we believe that children have to feel safe and connected in order to learn, and Marta has a natural way of connecting with children and their families."
Hillary Newton, Director of Preschool Ministries St. James Preschool
"We’ve known Ms. Zeman for almost 2 school years. We have a boy who attends an
International School in Malta. He has learning and behavior challenges, and Ms. Zeman has
been an excellent learning support assistant for our son. Ms. Zeman is a very organized
person and diligent worker.
We are just so thankful that our son has been able to receive Ms. Zeman’s wonderful help
for these 2 school years. We are more than sure that Ms. Zeman will be very helpful and a
delight to everyone she works with in the near future."
A.G. From Malta.
